Canada Health Act exempts prescription drugs from "medically necessary" items covered under the universal health care system, and there are low-income earners who neither have access to prescription drugs under social assistance nor can afford supplementary health insurance thereby creating adverse economic implications. Bearing in mind the legal considerations, can insurtech fill this void?
